Fashion Statements

Slogan tees have been used to visually articulate feelings since the 1960's. However, as became more popular minimalist fashion became more popular, slogan tees started to fade out. But now they're back and their popularity is growing. Maria Grazia Chiuri's 'We should all be feminists' sparked this trend with her very first collection for Dior in their October 2016 catwalk.

Have a voice without saying anything!

Why not make a political statement as well as a fashion statement?

Since then, slogan tees have exploded onto the fashion scene from RTW fast-fashion to luxury brands representing a variety of opinions. Politically motivated fashion is a great way for self-expression whilst not being overbearing upon your audience. These tees are becoming increasingly popular but you don't have to partner them with a simple pair of jeans and trainers to rock this look.

Here are some of my ideas...

I have added a layered skirt fun casual look. This look will work well with different skirt styles like skater skirts.

I love slogan tees with coordinated suits as it creates an alternative smart casual look.

You can also team a slogan top with a dress for a fun feminine look

Here are some styles I love
